SUMMARY:Digitalt nettverksmøte 27. mai: Ergonomics from a leadership and economic perspective
DESCRIPTION:Research shows an interesting paradox: while cleaning at home is often regarded as a therapeutic activity that can benefit both mental and physical wellbeing\, statistics tell a very different story when it comes to professional cleaning. Studies indicate that cleaning sector employees are almost twice as likely to be on sick leave compared to the average across all professions. \nIn our recent survey\, which included nearly 300 cleaners from four countries\, an overwhelming 93% reported experiencing pain in some part of their body due to their work. This raises a compelling question: how is it possible that the same activity—such as dusting—can be therapeutic at home\, but have the opposite effect when performed as a job? \nTo address this\, the Erasmus+ funded ErgoClean project investigated the 20 most common occupational diseases and workplace accidents in the cleaning sector. As part of the project\, we developed a range of educational resources—including videos\, visual guides\, and training instructions—to help prevent these issues. The quality and impact of these materials have been widely recognised\, and the developed resources have received multiple acknowledgements and awards in different professional and educational contexts. All materials are freely available to everyone in the industry. Practical experience to date shows that a systematic approach using these resources can significantly improve both the physical and mental wellbeing of cleaning staff. \nDuring the webinar\, we’ll introduce these materials and share relevant research findings. Anyone who cares about the wellbeing of their employees is sure to come away with valuable tips and insights! \nLenke til Teamsmøte: Ergonomics from a leadership and economic perspective\nClick here for more project information\nClick here for more information about e-learning
